The wheels on the bus.....

What a crazy month this has been!!  Mackenzie is 7 months old!!!

Mackenzie is growing like a weed and changing so much everyday.  This month we have learned to say Momma, Baba, and Dada (in that order).  She chatters pretty much all day long and she smiles at you with this silly little grin while she chatters at you saying a mixture of the previous words.  I don't think she really knows what they mean yet but it sure made my day to hear her say Momma for the 1st time.  She likes to play her "piano", listen to her jukebox, throw balls into her dino, and crawl around.  Until lately she was still a fan of her swing.  Now not so much.  And she likes to watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.  It is the only TV show so far that she will sit still for.  I am thankful for that though because I hope she will want to play and be outside more than watch TV but I sure do love that 20 minute break to shower or eat!

We also started at a day care this month.  She loves it there.  Ms. Alice is her primary teacher and she is always happy and ready to play when I drop her off.  They made Valentine's Hearts that they put on the wall and she even got her 1st Valentine's cards.  At daycare they go outside when it's nice, sing songs, read books, and just play their little hearts out!  Her current favorite song for some reason is Wheels on the Bus.  She gets a big smile on her face everytime I sing it to her.  I don't know if it is because my voice is bad and she thinks it's funny or if she just really likes the song!

This month we have stayed sick!  It has not been any fun.  1st we had the croup.  That is a scary sickness.  Sometimes it seemed as if she had a really hard time catching her breath.  The 2nd sickness was a stomach virus that has lasted 6 days and counting currently.  The poor thing still stays happy and playful through most of it.  We were 16 lbs and 7 oz when we went to the doctor this week.

Granny and Pop came to visit for a month and spoiled her rotten!  :)  I think she enjoyed her visit with them as much as they did if not more.  She had some pictures taken, got new toys, and new clothes.  She got to stay home from daycare and spend all of her time with Granny & Pop.  I know that she missed them when they left.  Neil and I definately did (Kaos did too).  Neil and I got to have dinner out for Valentine's Day!  It was a nice break but I found myself thinking about her most of the time and constantly fidgeting with something.

Speaking of Valentine's Day, she got two stuffed doggies, a teddy bear, a purse, and a Laugh & Learn Apptivity Case.  She's not spoiled at all!!

She will be walking soon.  She pulls up on anything she can and will walk with you if you hold her hands.  She really enjoyed being outside yesterday afternoon with us.  It was a gorgeous 75 degrees here.  We played in our bouncy and read a book.

She loves to eat.  We haven't found anything really that she refused to eat.  Mackenzie evens eats prunes with apples, apricots with mixced fruit, and spinach with potatoes!  The only thing she kind of frowns at in Yougurt Melts.  I don't know if you have tried them, but they are pretty bitter.

Well, this is a glimpse into her little world right now!  We will keep you posted!
